Back from the Horseshoe crab programme.
I was surprised that many people did not turn up :o Luckily,it wasn't a futile trip.
The place has got the same condition as that of swamp areas. All of us were attached to one NIE undergraduate each, then we went in different directions to pick up those horseshoe crabs.
Its figure is like a stingray, resemblance more of a pokemon monster call Kabuto.
And we learnt about their baby stage, moulted stage and adult stage.
Then those babies are called juvenile?Because their legs are very small and its not possible to identify their gender.About the moulted stage, they shed off a layer of old shell and then form a new layer.During moulted stage, they do not move and I always thought they are dead -.-
I think their shell become softer when they are going to moult.

We also learnt how to identify their gender by looking at their legs.First and second rows of legs normally determine their gender.Males have got muscles-like legs(like sausages' shape) while females' have got straight legs.As my attached partner brought me to catch them,I saw some other crustaceans swimming around. The mud is really very sticky, almost couldn't pull my legs out. Then we caught many horseshoe crabs and passed them for marking and measuring their body width. The vernier calipers is a digital one,you don't have to read off the scale by yourself.
After they have measured and leave a mark on their shell,we were told to release them.
Before doing that,Fiona and I were forcing the crabs to mate,by putting the male on top of the female, then put some females together and made them lesbians -.-

The programme was around 2 hours like that and we went to wash our feet.Nice of Mr Heng to help us wash our shoes using the spraying hose. But then I decided to throw mine as they still looked filthy.Overall, this programme is a fun and enjoyable one :D

Craps, woke up early in the morning and released I had 2 blisters on my lips. Not one but two!
Oh my,they are extremely itchy!Just hope tomorrow they will expand so I can squeeze and burst them easily. Its always during June/November-December holidays I have got blisters on my lips, for like consecutive 3 years.Don't know whether is it I ate too much fried food,or my reed is dirty,or my fingers are dirty and I go rub them.Damm, its still itchy now.I now look like a goldfish -.-

Went to register on facebook and I saw Mr Heng's photo when I was going to look at Mr Heng's profile. Its very funny!
